Marketplaces / THE PRACTICAL CHECKLIST

Amazon store reviews

Separate feedback about a product from evidence about the seller and the transaction you are considering.

What to look for

Follow the exact offer. Identify the item, condition, seller, included accessories, and fulfillment arrangement shown for that purchase. A product page can be informative about the item without answering every question about a particular merchant.

Make the review useful

Read for description accuracy, communication, delivery context, and the handling of a problem. Keep these observations separate from comments about product performance. Save the terms relevant to your own order and ask about ambiguities before purchasing.

Keep the limits in view

Do not treat a familiar platform name or a popular item as a guarantee about an individual offer. A review of another variation or seller may be useful context, but it is not direct evidence about this transaction.

Is a product review also a seller review?

Not necessarily. Praise for the item’s performance does not establish a particular seller’s listing accuracy or service. Keep those decisions in separate parts of your research.
