Social & video / THE PRACTICAL CHECKLIST
YouTube video reviews
Look for the claim behind the thumbnail and the conditions behind the demonstration. An engaging video is a starting point for evidence.
What to look for
Identify whether the video is an unboxing, first impression, long-term review, comparison, or sponsored introduction. Each format has a useful role, but an early look cannot demonstrate months of reliability.
Make the review useful
Watch how the result is produced. Note settings, accessories, editing gaps, and what the creator actually shows. Use a claim-to-evidence note to separate a visible demonstration from a broader assertion about performance.
Keep the limits in view
Do not infer intent from production quality. A polished review can be useful, and a casual recording can omit essential context. Look for disclosed relationships and verify the claims that determine your purchase.
Does a successful demo prove everyday reliability?
It supports the result shown under the visible conditions. Reliability across other conditions or longer use needs additional evidence.

Treat short-form reviews as compact claims. Identify what is shown, what is inferred, and what context the format leaves out.
Twitter/X post reviews
Read a post in its original conversation before using a screenshot or short verdict as evidence.
